This report provides criminal justice practitioners, State and local government officials, and interested citizens with summaries of criminal-justice legislation passed in the 1990 session of the Georgia General Assembly.
Abstract
Thirty-seven bills enacted by the House of Representatives are reviewed along with 9 House resolutions. Twenty-six Senate bills are reviewed together with 6 Senate resolutions. Legislations deemed "primary" is summarized, but legislation deemed "secondary" is listed by number and title only. Under "primary" legislation, a separate section is provided for drug-related legislation passed by the House and Senate. The 1990 session of the General Assembly featured strong emphasis on anti-drug proposals. There were 35 bills or resolutions concerning drug use and abuse including the use and abuse of alcohol.
