Abstract
In particular, the paper concerns technical and related legal aspects of criminal justice management and possible future directions in international cooperation within the framework of the UN crime prevention and criminal justice program. The paper focuses on the benefits of computerization, prerequisites for improving the use of information in managing the criminal justice system, purposes and functional requirements of crime-related and criminal justice information, and information controls and legal safeguards. Technical cooperation activities in the computerization of criminal justice operations and in the development, analysis, and policy use of criminal justice information are described, and future directions in international cooperation are noted.
