IN THE TYPOLOGY PRESENTED IN THIS BOOK, TYPES OF CRIME ARE VIEWED AS SYSTEMS OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.
Abstract
THE THEORETICAL ASSUMPTIONS OF THE TYPOLOGY ARE CONTAINED IN ITS FIVE DIMENSIONS - LEGAL ASPECTS OF SELECTED OFFENSES, THE CRIMINAL CAREER OF THE OFFENDER, GROUP SUPPORT OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN CRIMINAL AND LEGITIMATE BEHAVIOR, AND SOCIETAL REACTION AND LEGAL PROCESSING. NINE TYPES OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS ARE CONSTRUCTED IN RELATION TO THE FIVE THEORETICAL DIMENSIONS. THE TYPES ARE: VIOLENT PERSONAL CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, OCCASIONAL PROPERTY CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, PUBLIC ORDER CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, CONVENTIONAL CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, POLITICAL CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, OCCUPATIONAL CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, CORPORATE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, ORGANIZED CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, AND PROFESSIONAL CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. THE ORGANIZATION OF THE BOOK IS BASED ON THE TYPOLOGY OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTED ABOVE. INDIVIDUAL CHAPTERS ARE DEVOTED TO EACH ONE OF THE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS OF THE TYPOLOGY. THERE IS A DISCUSSION OF THE TYPE ACCORDING TO EACH OF THE THEORETICAL DIMENSIONS. EACH TYPE IS DESCRIBED AND PREVIOUS RESEARCH AND WRITING ON THE TYPE ARE DISCUSSED. A SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY FOR THE PARTICULAR BEHAVIOR SYSTEM IS PROVIDED AT THE END OF EACH CHAPTER. SUBJECT AND NAME INDEXES ARE APPENDED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)...ELW
