A bibliography is presented for the various aspects of crime in the United States.
Abstract
The issues include: models of deterrence theory; deviant behavior; criminal behavior; unemployment and crime; trends and targets; the impact of crime; criminal violence; poverty; and the politics of crime. Corruption, social policy, public attitudes, and the geography of crime and justice are discussed, as well as victimization, criminology, organized crime, and crime prevention. National efforts to combat crime are also presented.
