This annual report highlights statistics on criminal behavior which were recorded by the police of the German state of Niedersachsen in 1990.
Abstract
The statistics cover both completed offenses and punishable attempts, but do not include offenses against the State, traffic offenses, offenses committed outside the territory of West Germany, and offenses against the laws of individual German states. As statistics recorded by the police, the charts also do not include the large number of unreported offenses. The first section presents a comparison of the State's criminal behavior to previous years. The following sections include charts and graphs on violent crime, firearm use, and suspects (with special emphasis given to alien suspects). The year's development in specific crime types (such as offenses against life, sexual offenses, robberies, injuries, thefts, and drug offenses) is also included. Detailed charts providing additional information on suspects, victims, financial damages, and seasonal fluctuations of offenses are appended.
