This volume describes the crime prevention programs developed by municipalities in the Netherlands, the country's drug policy, and the goals and activities of a national network formed by prevention coordinators in 1988 to exchange experiences with colleagues.
Abstract
Since 1980, district councils have been developing prevention programs focusing on vandalism, street violence, bicycle theft, burglary, breaking into automobiles, and drug-related crimes. The network conducts conferences, publishes a crime prevention manual and newsletter, manages a database, and provides advice on the administrative prevention of crime.
