FILM COVERING METHODS OF PROTECTING THE HOME FROM BURGLARIES AND DISCUSSING STEPS TO PERSONAL SAFETY FROM INTRUDERS TO THE HOME.
Abstract
THE FILM BEGINS BY EXAMINING DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOCKS ONE CAN USE TO DETER BURGLARS. GUIDELINES ARE GIVEN ON STEPS TO TAKE IF ONE COMES HOME AND FINDS AN INTRUDER IN THE HOUSE. IT IS FURTHER RECOMMENDED THAT IN CASES OF PROLONGED ABSENCES FROM THE HOME, ONE SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE TO REARRANGE CURTAINS AND SHADES AND COLLECT NEWSPAPERS SO THAT IT IS NOT OBVIOUS THAT NO ONE IS HOME. IT IS FURTHER RECOMMENDED THAT CARE BE TAKEN BEFORE OPENING THE DOOR FOR STRANGERS AND THAT SINGLE WOMEN DO NOT ADVERTISE THAT THEY LIVE ALONE. CARE IN USING GUNS IS DISCUSSED ALONG WITH THE DANGER AND CONSEQUENCES OF USING A GUN IN CASES OF INTRUSION INTO THE HOME.
