Crime statistics from the Uniform Crime Report (UCR) Program in Connecticut are presented in this 1978 annual report. Data on law enforcement officers killed and law enforcement employment are also included.
Abstract
A total of 91 law enforcement agencies in Connecticut are participating in the program. The program divides offenses into two major categories: Part 1 and Part 2 offenses. Part 1 offenses include murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, and arson. All other criminal offenses collected are classified as Part 2 offenses. The report discusses crime factors and presents tables giving statistics for all Part 1 offenses. Tables and graphs delineate the value of property stolen and recovered, offense data by contributor, arrest data by contributor, law enforcement officers killed or assaulted, and law enforcement employee data.
