Crime statistics from the Uniform Crime Report (UCR) Program in Connecticut are presented in this 1979 annual report. Data on law enforcement employment and officers killed on duty are included.
Abstract
A total of 96 law enforcement agencies representing 100 percent of Connecticut's law enforcement community are participating in the UCR Program. The program divides offenses into two major categories: Part 1 and Part 2 offenses. Part 1 offenses include murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, and arson. All other criminal offenses collected are classified as Part 2 offenses. The report discusses crime factors and presents tables giving statistics for all Part 1 offenses. Tables and graphs delineate the value of property stolen and recovered, offense data by contributor, arrest data by contributor, law enforcement officers killed or assaulted, and law enforcement employee data.
