This report provides data regarding the nature and extent of crime throughout Arizona during 1997.
Abstract
The report does not draw conclusions as to the causes of crime, but provides an overview of Arizona's crime problem and vital information necessary to law enforcement agencies, government and the public. It includes a description of the Arizona Uniform Crime Reporting System and a Summary of State Crime Data. A variety of statistics are presented for eight Index Crimes: murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft and arson. The report includes sections on: (1) County Offense and Supplemental Data; (2) State Arrest Data; (3) County Arrest Data; (4) Agency Data; (5) Assaults on Law Enforcement Officers; and (6) Bias Crimes Data.
