CONTAINS PREDICTIONS ABOUT CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN RELATION TO THE TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN AND WITHOUT THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR STATES THAT NEW KINDS OF CRIMES WILL DEVELOP IN RELATION TO THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES. NEW SOCIAL PROBLEMS WILL BE CREATED BY THE ATTEMPTS TO DEAL WITH THESE CRIMES. THE RATE OF CHANGE WILL INCREASE AND REACTIONS TO EVENTS AFTER THEY HAVE TAKEN PLACE WILL BECOME LESS EFFECTIVE AS A STRATEGY OF CONTROL. MORE AND MORE SERIOUS SIDE-EFFECTS OF SOCIAL ACTION MAY BE EXPECTED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
