This report discusses the structure and operation of Nebraska's courts and provides statistical information on their cases for 1977.
Abstract
Included in this discussion are the supreme court, the district courts, the county and municipal courts, the juvenile courts, and the compensation court. The responsibilities and achievement of the court administrator's office are memtioned, as are the financing sources for the courts and the fiscal 1977 expenditures. The report comments on the preliminary results of a Nebraska State Bar Association study of court organization and administration and presents judicial salary increases and roster changes. The report includes a list of State court judges, a map of judicial districts in the State, and a chart illustrating the process of appeal. District and county court statistics are appended.
