RESULTS OF A SURVEY OF 74 ADULT AND YOUTH CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS TO IDENTIFY RESEARCH PROJECTS OR AREAS OF STUDY THAT CORRECTIONAL STAFFS BELIEVED WERE USEFUL TO THEIR AGENCIES.
Abstract
MOST OF THE RESPONDENTS WERE SAID TO HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED AT LEAST A MODERATE IMPACT FROM RESEARCH, PARTICULARLY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PROGRAMS AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING ONES. IN-HOUSE STAFF WAS DEEMED THE MOST IMPORTANT SINGLE RESEARCH SOURCE.
