THIS REPORT DESCRIBES THE SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, AND DEMOGRAPHIC INFLUENCES ON THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS IN THE COMPTON (CA) JUDICIAL COURT DISTRICTS AND PRESENTS A DIAGNOSIS OF PROBLEMS EVIDENCED BY THE STUDY.
Abstract
PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS PAID TO THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS AND THE OTHER GOVERNMENT SERVICES-DELIVERY AGENCIES. EACH CITY IN THE JUDICIAL DISTRICTS IS TREATED SEPARATELY FOLLOWING A DISCUSSION OF THE IMPACT OF THE STATE AND COUNTY (LOS ANGELES COUNTY) CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND HUMAN DELIVERY SYSTEMS. THE CITIES IN THE JUDICIAL DISTRICT INCLUDE CARSON, COMPTON, LYNWOOD, PARAMOUNT, AND SEVERAL UNINCORPORATED AREAS. THIS REPORT IS PART OF THE INITIATIVE ORIENTED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE EFFORT OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION.
