Abstract
Specific chapters of the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984 created still other Acts. For example, Chapter I is cited as the Bail Reform Act of 1984; Chapter II is cited as the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984; Chapter III is cited as the Comprehensive Forfeiture Act of 1984; Chapter IV is cited as the Insanity Defense Reform Act of 1984; and Chapter V is cited as the Controlled Substances Penalties Amendments Act of 1984. Division 1 of Chapter VI is cited as the Justice Assistance Act of 1984, and Division II of Chapter VI is cited as the Juvenile Justice, Runaway Youth, and Missing Children's Act Amendments of 1984. Subdivision D of Chapter VI amends the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 by adding a new title IV, which is cited as the Missing Children's Assistance Act. Chapters VII and VIII amend the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 and the Labor Management Relations Act, 1957, respectively. Chapter IX amends the Currency and Foreign Transactions Reporting Act, and Chapter X makes miscellaneous violent crime amendments. Chapter XI deals with serious nonviolent offenses, and Chapter XII makes procedural amendments to the U.S. Code, including under subpart A of Part F the Witness Security Reform Act of 1984. Chapter XIII is cited as the National Narcotics Act of 1984; Chapter XV as the Trademark Counterfeiting Act of 1984; Chapter XVI as the Credit Card Fraud Act of 1984; Chapter XVIII as the Armed Career Criminal Act of 1984; and Chapter XIX as the Criminal Justice Act Revision of 1984. Part A of Chapter XX is cited as the Act for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Hostage-Taking, and Part B of Chapter XX is cited as the Aircraft Sabotage Act. Chapter XXI is cited as the Counterfeit Access Device and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1984.
