COMPARISON OF THE RESULTS OF PHYSICAL SENSITIVITY TESTS ON FRENCH JUVENILE DELINQUENTS WITH THE RESULTS OF SIMILAR TESTS ON GROUPS OF NORMAL JUVENILES OF ABOUT THE SAME AGE.
Abstract
TWO GROUPS OF NORMAL JUVENILES WERE TESTED. ONE CONSISTED OF 61 RANDOMLY SELECTED JUVENILES WHOSE EDUCATIONAL LEVEL WAS COMPARABLE WITH THAT OF THE JUVENILE DELINQUENTS. THE OTHER CONSISTED OF 24 ELECTRONICS STUDENTS. IT WAS FOUND, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THAT THE JUVENILE DELINQUENTS WERE LESS DIFFERENTIATED IN REGARD TO TACTILE SENSITIVITY AND THEIR SENSITIVITY TO PAIN WAS DULLER. THEY WERE ALSO CHARACTERIZED BY SENSITIVITY OF AN UNSTABLE TYPE, WITH LARGE VARIATIONS IN INDIVIDUALS, PERHAPS BECAUSE THEIR ATTENTION IS LESS CONSTANT. FOR THE RESULTS OF PHYSICAL SENSITIVITY TESTS ON JUVENILE DELINQUENTS, SEE NCJ-30274. --IN FRENCH
