Abstract
MATCHED GROUPS OF BOTH GROUPS HAVE TRAITS WHICH ARE SPECIFIC TO THEMSELVES AS WELL AS TRAITS WHICH ARE OVERLAPPING. CHARACTERISTICS MEASURED INCLUDE SELF-CONCEPT, OPTIMISM, INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, SELF-CONTROL, RESPONSES TO NOTIONS OF COURTESY AND RESPECT FOR LAW, AND ATTITUDES TOWARD FRIENDS, FAMILY, RELIGION, MATERIAL GOODS, AND INDEPENDENT LIVING.
