Abstract
The first section provide an overview of population growth, population projections, departmental escapes and reported incidents, and a map of Colorado DOC facilities. The second section, focusing on inmate population trends, discusses prison sentence and incarceration rates, jail backlog, facility capacities and population, and annual inmate costs. The third section covers admission and release characteristics, new commitment characteristics, and recidivism statistics. The final two sections present data on inmate population characteristics and parole population characteristics. 2 appendixes
