Abstract
An introduction explains that most colleges have seen an increasing incidence of serious crime on campus in the last few years. Additional security personnel, including student paraprofessionals, have been hired; and campus police have focused their energies on a number of areas including patrol, traffic control, building security, crime prevention, and criminal investigations. Crime prevention programs include property security, personal protection and training programs for students, and the installation of security systems. Moreover, colleges have emphasized higher degrees of professionalism among security personnel. In addition to these topics, the bibliography covers areas such as disorders, vandalism, interagency relations, budgeting, planning, administration, and emergency planning. These materials are intended for university police, researchers, university planners, and government agencies. Listings are in alphabetical order by author and were published between 1970 and 1978. Annotations are not included.
