This kit is designed to help members of the American Medical Association Alliance (spouses of members of the American Medical Association) implement anti-domestic violence programs in their communities and assist victims of domestic violence.
Abstract
The primary component of the kit is a manual that discusses how to hold an education program and provides a fact sheet, tips on program planning, factual information, and a prepared speech. The manual covers the planning and implementation of a violence prevention committee and includes recommendations for working with the medical society, cable television, and community agencies involved in domestic violence. The kit also includes a journal article on adolescent violence, an AMA publication on family violence, and brochures addressing domestic assault and child abuse.
