Law-related education (LRE) programs feature different designs that appeal to different personalities, markets, materials, and available financial resources.
Abstract
Traditional law-related education programs may include mock trials, bench-bar seminars, and other programs that allow judges to explain the jurisdictional aspects of courts and to reaffirm the obligation of due process of law to the public. Contemporary LRE programs generally build upon traditional designs, but offer participants more interactive experiences. A variety of national organizations are involved in LRE and offer "prefabricated" programs that can be implemented in any city with minimal effort, using written materials prepared by the sponsoring group. Finally, avant-garde LRE programs take advantage of the many available technologies to present videos and other audiovisual materials.
