This report lists and describes computer software packages available in the Australian justice system.
Abstract
For each of the 20 listings, uniform information is provided. Each entry includes the name of the software package, a description of the package capabilities and where the documentation can be obtained, programming language, machines in use, whether the software is batch mode or on-line, operators used, modifications required for the Australian system, practical limitations, organizations with experience in its use, comments, and source of information. Subjects of the listed software programs include the police automated registration information system, provincial criminal case processing, offender-based corrections information system, prisoner data system, and magistrates court system.
