Abstract
This report demonstrated the application of the behavioral-ecological model to diagnose a community problem and generate appropriate interventions. A case study was presented in which the behavioral-ecological model was used by a community-based organization to prevent and treat Chicano gang delinquency. One of the purposes of the paper was to systematically replicate and extend work done by others using other settings and other client populations. It also examined whether certain widely used behavioral methods would be effective in the treatment and prevention of Chicano gang delinquency in natural settings. Some unexpected results are discussed as well as directions for further study. 1 table
