Abstract
THE SPECIFIC AREAS OF BEHAVIOR RATED ARE WORK ASSIGNMENT, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, ACADEMIC EDUCATION, VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION IN ORGANIZED GROUP PROGRAMS, NUMBER OF DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS, AND VIOLENCE IN PRISON. FOR THE FIRST REPORT, THE RATINGS OF BEHAVIOR WERE MADE AND DISCIPLINARY REPORTS WERE EXAMINED. THESE DATA ARE UTILIZED IN THE PRESENT STUDY. STATISTICAL DATA INCLUDED. IT CANNOT BE INFERRED THAT THE RATINGS OF BEHAVIOR, EITHER SPECIFIC OR OVERALL, OF THE NEW ADMISSIONS DURING THE FIRST YEAR IN PRISON ARE STRONGLY RELATED TO HOW THESE MEN ADJUST TO PAROLE.
