Abstract
The manual also explores the structure, training, staffing, and security of intelligence units and provides guidelines for commanders of law enforcement intelligence units to improve their overall management. In addition, it presents trends in the law as they may now and in the future affect the mission and functioning of intelligence units in law enforcement agencies. Individual sections detail overt and covert information collection, as well as collation, analysis, the production of the intelligence report, dissemination, reevaluation, and management of the intelligence unit.
