The use and types of doors and locks are explained. The nature and conduct of security surveys are outlined. The local planning process for crime prevention and the police role in it are explained. The prevention of armed robbery and personal security measures are discussed. Guidelines are also given for public speaking on crime prevention and conducting evaluations of crime prevention programs.
