STATISTICAL DATA COVERING JUVENILE DELINQUENCY PROBLEMS, PROGRAMS, AND PLANNING IS PRESENTED AS BACKGROUND INFORMATION.
Abstract
MATERIAL WAS COLLECTED BY THE INTERDEPARTMENTAL COUNCIL TO COORDINATE ALL FEDERAL JUVENILE DELINQUENCY PROGRAMS. FACTORS INCLUDED ARE - AGE, KIND OF OFFENSES, ARREST TRENDS, SENTENCES, RECIDIVISM, AND FEDERAL FUNDS SPENT ON DELINQUENCY. THE COUNCIL HAS COMPILED THIS DATA AS A FIRST STEP TOWARD ACHIEVING ITS MAJOR GOAL; TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT COORDINATED STRATEGIES FOR THE MOST EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF AVAILABLE RESOURCES TO PREVENT AND REDUCE JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. A LIST OF PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES IS INCLUDED.
