Abstract
The text also provides an overview of the dynamics surrounding the period of adolescents and the skills required for conducting effective interviews with adolescents and families. It also reviews the psychometric instruments that have been widely used in the assessment of adolescents and some new developments in the field. These include measures of intellectual and educational functioning, neuropsychological assessment, personality inventories, behaviorally-based measures, and projective techniques. Additional chapters explain the use of computers in the assessment process and provide suggestions for writing psychological reports and communicating the findings to families.
