This manual contains all additions, revisions, deletions, and interpretations for the correctional standards manuals published by the American Correctional Association between 1979 and 1989.
Abstract
It includes all changes published in the first four supplements as well as all changes approved by the American Correctional Association Standards Committee and the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections through August 17, 1989. The standards cover the administration of correctional agencies, adult parole authorities, adult community residential services, adult probation and parole field services, adult correctional institutions, and adult local detention facilities. They also focus on juvenile community residential facilities, juvenile probation and aftercare services, juvenile detention facilities, and juvenile training schools. Glossary and appended security guidelines, definition of qualified individuals for safety and sanitation inspections, and guidelines for the control and use of flammable and other hazardous materials.
