This pamphlet describes the symptoms of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), how to avoid contracting the AIDS virus, and how to deal with the effects of the disease, given that the patient is already chemically-dependent.
Abstract
It is aimed at educating people who are recovering from chemical dependency and alcohol abuse, whatever their AIDS status. The advantages of testing for AIDS, when to test, and the AZT cure are mentioned. The steps and precautions to take when test results are positive are listed including consulting a physician, counsellor, or professional agency such as Alcohol Anonymous or "Right Advice."
