This web page provides online access to educational materials for those responding to and investigating criminal sexual assault.
This is part of the effort by the Forensic Technology Center of Excellence (FTCoE) to organize and transfer knowledge and best practices for the criminal justice community in responding to sexual assault. The featured Fact Sheets provide online access to webinars and additional resources related to topics within the sexual assault response reform movement. By clicking on the provided icons, the user can open, download, print, and share the fact sheets intended for instruction to Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs), sexual assault investigators, first responders, and anyone who could benefit from the information provided. Among the topics addressed are the collection and analysis of DNA evidence in groping sexual assault cases, best practices in a campus-wide response to sexual misconduct, investigating the sexual assault of elder victims, providing gender-inclusive care to victims of sexual assault, neurophysiology and overcoming individual trauma, responding to sexual assault victims of color, and collaboration to provide a trauma-informed response to sexual assault survivors.
