This toolkit provides materials for organizations to use in spreading the word about RAINN's (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network's) new hotline services in Spanish.
Abstract
Spanish-speaking visitors to the Online Hotline (rainn.org/es) chat one-on-one with a trained RAINN support specialist any time (24/7). The free services offered include confidential, judgment-free support from a trained support specialist; someone to help callers talk through what happened to them; resources that can assist with next steps toward healing and recovery; referrals for long-term support in the caller's area; information about relevant laws and resources in the caller's area; and basic information about medical resources. The toolkit provided contains materials for promoting the new hotline in Spanish. The six components of the toolkit are 1) a service overview and tips for promoting the hotline; 2) sample text; 3) sample social media posts; 4) graphics and web banners; 5) frequently asked questions and answers; and 6) a fact sheet.
