Outlines how the formulas are calculated under the LLEBG Program to make funds available to local governments for reducing crime and improving public safety. This technical report summarizes the program goals and the requirements to receive funding. It also provides an example of the award process and includes the total LLEBG award amounts available to the States and Territories from 1996 through 2004 and the number of local governments eligible to receive an award.
