Annotation

In this article, the authors, who are members of a research group at New York University's Center on Violence and Recovery, share their experiences as a "research family" in conducting studies on domestic violence (DV) and restorative justice (RJ).

Abstract

They note that although their research group has diverse members, they have experienced that group work within research is one way to enact social justice. They note that their group dynamics have and will continue to influence their individual and collective potential, as well as their common commitment to the research fields of DV and RJ. This article includes a discussion of the multiple factors necessary for the research group to sustain its impact. (publisher abstract modified)
