This issue of The AMBER Alert newsletter contains five primary articles dealing with child abduction issues.
Abstract
The first article, On the Front Lines: Five States Unite to Find Hannah Anderson, details the combined efforts of five States to find the missing teenager and her brother abducted from their home in California. In addition to California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington also assisted in the search efforts. The second article is an interview with Kevin Mariano, the new Isleta Pueblo police chief. The third article describes international efforts to expand AMBER Alert, specifically in Germany and Central and South American countries. The fourth article highlights the work of Bill Bryan who retired from the AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program. The fifth article describes how a mock child abduction was used to test the ability of the Utah CART (Child Abduction Response Team) to effectively respond to an actual abduction.
