This report documents the development and current status of the Ada County Sheriff's Office (Idaho) Internet site.
Abstract
The Home Page of the Web site has been successfully implemented. It consists of four sections: Organizational Information; Our Services; Jail Information; and News and Information. Organizational Information consists of organizational structure, mission statement, departmental values, 1997-98 budget, a road map of Ada County, sheriff's duties, history, and career opportunities. Information on services encompasses patrol services, traffic enforcement program, the gang unit, detectives, victim-witness coordinator, community resource telephone numbers, the crime prevention unit, the narcotics unit, the civil section, the Combined Communications Center, important numbers, the records section, and Public Safety Computer Information Services. Jail Information consists of jail housing, inmate services, alternative sentencing programs, inmate programs, inmate rules and privileges, and jail statistics. News and Information consists of information on local events. The News and Information and Jail Information sections are updated regularly. Direct links are offered to other law enforcement Web sites, both State and Federal. Options are offered for feedback from those who access the Web site.
