The future of the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program is here with the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). NIBRS is a more robust database that takes UCR data to the next level by capturing wide-ranging details on crime incidents and separate offenses within the same incident, including information on victims, known offenders, relationships between victims and offenders, arrestees, and property involved in the crimes.
