This day-long session will strive to teach attendees the prevalence of stalking, some of the most common methods of technology-facilitated stalking used by abusers, explain the North Carolina "revenge porn" law, and teach technology-aware safety planning tips.
This training is intended for advocates, law enforcement, campus representatives and other allied professionals who work with survivors of intimate partner violence and stalking.
Training Objectives:
- Increase awareness about prevalence, dynamics, and effects of stalking and "revenge porn."
- Learn about ways abusers misuse technology to stalk and terrorize survivors.
- Learn about NC's stalking and crime of "Disclosure of private images."
- Increase knowledge and gain tools for safety planning with survivors of stalking and "revenge porn."
