This workshop is for individuals exposed to traumatic material and situations during the course of their work. The course is taught by a law enforcement officer and a mental health professional with experience working with law enforcement professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to mental health & wellness. It will offer professionals who may have experienced vicarious trauma and who may interact with offenders (e.g., law enforcement officers, forensic analysts, prosecutors, probation & parole, etc.), the opportunity to learn about the causes and symptoms of negative effects that may occur as a result of their duties and effective mitigation strategies and tools to help them build resilience.
