To serve crime victims more effectively, victim service organizations must use fundamental financial management practices to stay solvent and operate properly.
In this training, you will learn key bookkeeping and accounting principles, how to prepare financial documents, how to prevent fraud, and the differences in available financial management tools.
Each week, except for the introductory week, will include a facilitated webinar. There are recommended readings and videos, as well as written assignments. You should expect to spend about an hour per week on the assignments, in addition to participating in the 75-minute webinar.
Audience: This training is designed for those who are new to their organization’s financial management.
