Improving School Attendance is perfect for those seeking to launch or expand school attendance efforts.
Day 1 will focus on programmatic approaches used successfully by school districts and community collaborations around the country, and will also include simple steps that schools can take on their own.
Day 2 will focus on strategies that Attendance Advocates can use as they work with students and families including record-keeping, home visit safety, and preparing for court visits.
Work group and discussion time will be built into each day to allow attendees to start a plan that is right for their community.
Attendees will leave with lots of practical tips for organizing a community action plan and with the latest research on the importance of school attendance neatly packed for sharing back home.
