Event Dates
Location
Online
The webinar will provide strategies for shaping public opinion about sexual violence by being mindful of how victim and witness statements are documented, how these crimes are reported to journalists, and how images are used. It also will provide guidance for countering defense attorney tactics that aim to sway potential jurors.

The presentation will provide ideas for improving reporting on sexual violence through social media, cultivating existing relationships with reporters, and outreach via journalism associations and coalitions.

Additionally, Michelle Kuiper will provide a survivor's perspective on how law enforcement, prosecutors, and advocates can help journalists prepare for and conduct interviews with victims, and how they can look out for victims' privacy and safety.
