Identity theft is a pervasive problem that affects millions of consumers every year. Loss estimates vary, and some assessments indicate that over $1 billion is stolen from victims each year.
Sarah Goelz has been managing the National Identity Theft Victims Assistance Network (NITVAN) project for the past few years, and will share information about how coalitions can improve the outreach and capacity of victim service programs to better address the rights and needs of victims of identity theft and cybercrime. She will also discuss the NITVAN Toolkit and resources that it contains.
