Developing Effective and Responsive Approaches to Elder Abuse in Tribal Communities

This webinar is designed for non-Tribal law enforcement professionals and will focus on building more effective relations when working with Tribal law enforcement and Tribal elder protection teams on elder abuse cases. The webinar will also cover how to serve older Native American adults outside Tribal communities. Participants will learn best practices for communicating with Native American elders, and better understand how Native elders may describe their experiences of abuse. Emphasis will be placed on fostering respectful and productive engagement with Native American elders to ensure effective responses.
