This webinar, hosted by Justice and Joy National Collaborative, will discuss creating a trauma-informed and trauma-responsive justice system. As most youth involved in the juvenile justice system or who are at risk of system involvement have a history of complex trauma, this presentation will help system professionals understand how trauma can impact the lives and decision-making of youth.

Learning Objectives:
1. Define trauma and how it affects the brain.
2. Identify ways in which the court system, advocates, and providers can work together to respond to youth with trauma.
3. Describe different policies, protocols, and standards to ensure youth with trauma receive appropriate care.
