Creating a Safe School and Community Environment for Youth, Part 2: Mitigating Microaggressions and Implicit Bias

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) will host “Creating a Safe School and Community Environment for Youth, Part 2: Mitigating Microaggressions and Implicit Bias” as part of OJJDP’s Preventing Youth Hate Crimes & Identity-Based Bullying Initiative webinar series.

During the webinar, intended for school communities, presenters will:

  • Discuss how to create comprehensive anti-hate policies and programs that involve every part of the school community, from students and parents to teachers, staff, and administrators.
  • Help participants understand how to build a school climate where hateful acts are not tolerated.
  • Explain how to mitigate microaggressions and identify implicit bias.
