Working in a prosecuting agency can be stressful.

High caseloads, the serious nature of the cases, vicarious trauma, balancing life and work and of course, the additional challenges brought about by Covid-19 can negatively impact the wellbeing of employees, causing resignations, addictions, relationship problems and health issues.

This course involves the application of a multidisciplinary Peer Support Team Model within a county attorney's office, from inception to activation.

Hilary Weinberg and Jennifer Heisig will discuss the history of the Peer Support Program at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, as well as the benefits and challenges to the program over the years.

Helpful tips will be conveyed for those looking to create a peer support team in an unconventional setting and time for relevant questions and discussion will be provided.
