BJA Tribal Consultation

The purpose of the consultation is to solicit recommendations from tribal government leaders on the following topics:

• Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) tribal assistance funding.
• Ways that BJA can make funding more accessible to federally recognized tribes.
• Adding a new Purpose Area to the Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) to support the development, implementation, and enhancement of treatment courts.
• Interest in BJA allowing tribes to designate nonprofit organizations to apply for BJA’s CTAS Purpose Areas on behalf of tribes.

Tribal leaders or their designees who are unable to attend the in-person session may also submit testimony by attending a video recording or by submitting written testimony via email to [email protected].
