This annual vigil honors victims of crime, their families and those who serve them. Liberty County District Attorney Logan Pickett said the special event also alerts the public to the realities of such crime while expressing hope for a less violent future.
This local observance is part of a National Crime Victims' Rights Week scheduled for April 7'13. This year"s national theme is "Honoring our Past - Creating Hope for the Future". The annual vigil will also commemorate April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
