THE BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCES ARE ARRANGED ALPHABETICALLY UNDER EACH HEADING TO INCLUDE BOTH THE ORIGINAL AND MAJOR PROPONENTS OF THE THEORIES PLUS THE LATEST AND MOST RELEVANT RESEARCH DESIGNED TO VERIFY THEM. MAJOR HEADINGS UNDER STRUCTURAL THEORIES INCLUDE SOCIAL STRUCTURAL POLITICOECONOMIC STRUCTURAL, AND COMMUNICATIVE. UNDER INDIVIDUAL AND PERSONALITY TYPE THEORIES, THE MAJOR HEADINGS INCLUDE PSYCHOGENIC THEORIES, MEDICAL MODEL, BIOSOCIAL THEORIES, AND CULTURAL AND BELIEF SYSTEM THEORIES.
